Welcome to EvanSiroky.com, a website about Evan Siroky by Evan Siroky for Evan Siroky everyone! So, I'm a 27 year old dude currently living the Portlandia dream, maybe. I actually consider myself a wannabe hipster, but have problems doing so since I work at this suburban office park at MyGIStics, a firm that is developing traffic products that will help traffic flow more smoothly. I guess that's kind of hip, but real Portlandians don't have jobs.
Another fatal flaw in my hipsterdom is that I sold my fixie, not because the movement was over, but because it hurt my knees with all the skidding and hillclimbing. Instead I'm actually into the doucebag-infested side of bicycling: bicycle racing. However, I try to be as easygoing about it as I can despite winning 3 races in my 2012 season and upgrading to Cat 2. To ensure I'm not too full of myself I ride with Guinness where it's just about racing bikes. I do have a hip angle on the racing as I sporadically write about my racing adventures over at DJStroky Racing.
With all the working and racing there really is no time left to pursue hipness. I do go to church. In all honesty, this bike racing thing is only temporary at this level because I'm probably not going pro starting so late. But even once I quit racing so seriously, I'll probably end up turning into some kind of transportation data nerd since I get all these random ideas of stuff to do with transportation data. I can't help myself it seems.

The projects page is a spot where I showcase the nerdy transportation data projects I've done that weren't work-related. Over on the links page, it lists a few other portals into my life that may or may not be worth exploring. And finally the flair page is, well, sometimes I can't even explain it.
